This striking sculptural coat rack is a collaborative piece from Gallery Director David Mac Laren and turner Jim Homann. 

Created with Red Mallee Burl, Red Coolibah Burl and American Oak, and reinforced with Stainless Steel Threaded Rod, the piece celebrates beautiful timbers, fine craftsmanship and the nature of ongoing collaboration valued by the Gallery.

David Mac Laren is the Artistic Director and founder of Bungendore Wood Works Gallery and a leading designer / maker in the woodworking community. His work pushes the boundaries of contemporary fine furniture and reveals an ongoing passion for Australian timbers and collaboration.

Jim Homann is a fourth generation carpenter by trade and self taught wood turner from the South Coast, NSW. Jim and David have collaborated for over 25 years now, developing pieces that remain iconic to the Gallery.
